August 2, 2021 – A week prior to the transfer of management of the Rokan Working Area (WK), PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT CPI) held a virtual event to appreciate all of its employees for their hard work and dedication in operating the Rokan WK safely and reliably. This activity is carried out in line with the termination of the contract period on 8 August and the transfer of majority of employees to the next operator, PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR).

The event which was attended by the entire management team of PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia and Chevron Corporation show Chevron's long history in Indonesia and its contribution to society, especially in Riau Province. Also presented in the event to give encouraging speech were former directors of PT CPI namely Baihaki Hakim, Humayunbosha, Suwito Anggoro and Abdul Hamid Batubara who expressed their appreciation and gratitude.

“The Rokan Working Area (WK) is an important strategic asset for state and regional revenues, the community's economy, and national energy security. It is an honor for us to be able to manage this asset well,” said Albert Simanjuntak, Managing Director of Chevron IndoAsia Business Unit & President Director of PT CPI. “Thank you for the dedication and performance of tens of thousands of PT CPI employees, including retirees, for their dedication to the company over the years to produce energy for the nation and country. The record of excellence in PT CPI's achievements so far is the hard work and commitment of the employees."

Albert hopes that the values and qualities of employees, such as integrity, discipline in prioritizing safety, respect for diversity, people and environment protection and good partnerships with stakeholders can be applied so that they continue to provide benefits and success wherever PT employees are in the future.

PT CPI also seeks to ensure the readiness of more than 2,700 employees before joining PHR. PT CPI has prepared the organizational capabilities, holding various communication forums and debriefing programs such as technical preparation for transition, positive mental development in managing change and financial management. “Rokan WK solid performance so far cannot be separated from the human resource factor behind it, namely employees with embedded expertise, culture and work ethic. We are optimistic that they will be able to maintain Rokan WK performance and can contribute significantly to the new company," said Albert.
