They discussed the regional geology of the Central Sumatra Basin and Duri oil field, as well as the application of steamflood technology which has been successfully increasing productivity and extending the life of Duri Field. This guest lecture program was also attended and supported by steam injection technology experts from the Heavy Oil Chevron Energy Technology Company (Chevron ETC) unit based in California.

Around 150 participants attended the event at the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, UIR Campus, on Wednesday (24/4). This guest lecture is part of the University Relationship Program (URP) between PT CPI and a number of leading universities in Riau Province, one of them is UIR.
