Dari total kontribusi tersebut, senilai US$500.000 di antaranya dialokasikan oleh Chevron Corporate Global Community Fund melalui organisasi nirlaba internasional untuk kemanusiaan, Mercy Corps dan Save the Children. Sedangkan US$62.500 lainnya dialokasikan untuk bantuan tanggap darurat yang disalurkan melalui sebuah program bersama Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Migas (SKK Migas) dan para Kontraktor Kontrak Kerja Sama (KKKS) serta melalui organisasi nirlaba nasional Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), masing-masing senilai US$37.500 dan US$25.000. Nilai kontribusi tersebut termasuk pengiriman bantuan tim dokter Chevron ke Palu dan Donggala yang menjadi bagian dari Tim Medis SKK Migas dan KKKS.
“Chevron ingin mengulurkan tangan, membantu pemulihan pasca bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami yang berdampak besar terhadap kehidupan ribuan saudara-saudara kita di Lombok, Palu, dan Donggala,” kata Managing Director Chevron IBU Kevin Lyon. “Doa yang tulus dari kami bagi mereka yang terdampak oleh bencana alam ini.”
Jumlah kontribusi akan bertambah karena saat ini Chevron juga tengah mengumpulkan donasi tunai dari para karyawannya melalui program “Chevron Berbakti”. Chevron telah menyiapkan skema 1:1 matching fund, dimana Perusahaan akan menggandakan nilai donasi tunai yang terkumpul dari para karyawan. Total dana yang terkumpul akan ditambahkan untuk program rehabilitasi dan rekonstruksi di Lombok, Palu, dan Donggala.
